Dinner at Maxwell Road Hawker Centre, Singapore

A trip to Singapore wouldn’t be complete without visiting one of their food hawker markets. I would gladly have eaten at one every day, but given the limited amount of time we were in Singapore, we decided to narrow it down to Maxwell Road Hawker Centre so that we could try out the famous Tian Tian chicken rice and fish bee hoon from Jin Hua.  Luckily for us, the food was worth the hype and it made for an overwhelming, crowded and exciting dining experience.

I was especially excited to try out their mazechirashi, which I am happy to report definitely lived up to my expectations (although I was pretty much dragging myself out of the restaurant by the end of our meal, having had two meals beforehand!)

Review: Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, Riverside Point, Singapore

No visit to Singapore could be complete without sampling the famous Singaporean Chilli Crab, and that is exactly what we did on a balmy weekday evening in Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, where we ate seafood to our heart’s content whilst watching the sky fade to an inky blue across the beautiful Singapore river. Whilst I’m definitely not in a position to comment on whether or not this is “the best chilli crab in Singapore”, what I can say is that I certainly had a lovely dining experience at Jumbo.DSC_0972 Continue reading
