Korean cuisine has continued to grow in popularity worldwide, and kimchi in particular has been labelled as one of the world’s top food trends in the coming year. However, for those of you that have never tried it, its pungent and sharp taste might take a bit of getting used to, and so I’ve decided to share a recipe for kimchi fried rice, a lunchtime favourite of mine that you can whip up in less than 20 minutes. The mix of added ingredients such as a fried egg and spam neutralise the strong flavours of the kimchi a little bit, so it’s a great dish to introduce your taste buds to!
I tend to keep my birthday celebrations relatively low-key (for the most part, I prefer small groups, great conversations and LOTS of food), but since I’m turning 21 this month I thought it would be nice to indulge in a bit of fine dining. Luckily for me, Clos Maggiore offers a surprisingly affordable pre-theatre menu in what was probably one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating in!
The weather in London has been quite pitiful recently, but under no circumstances should that deter gluttons from venturing out of their warm homes in search of food. Last weekend, I decided to go to Broadway Market- a place that has been on my hypothetical ‘bucket list’ for quite some time, and my experience there can be summed up in one sentence: I will definitely be back again soon!
The other day, I was perusing Buzzfeed (as you do) and came across The Slow Richies in this article. Upon realising that they were currently in residence at The Jeremy Bentham, a pub located smack bang in the middle of my University campus, I knew I had to try them out ASAP before they left…and so I did! 🙂 Continue reading
Mai Sushi is one of my favourite restaurants in London, so I thought that it was about time I blogged about it! If you’re ever looking for affordable, authentic and incredibly mouthwatering sushi rolls, this is definitely the place to go. Continue reading
A few weeks ago, the lovely team from Zomato kindly invited me to a blogger’s meet-up at Acciuga, an authentic Italian restaurant located on Kensington High Street which specialises in Ligurian and Genoese cuisine. I had such a great time and met lots of new food bloggers- all in all, it was a great experience! 🙂 Continue reading
I’m definitely not a morning person, but when I heard that the newly-opened Dishoom at King’s Cross was offering a 50% discount off all meals, I knew I had to seize the opportunity and finally try out their highly-lauded breakfasts. After all, who doesn’t love a good deal? 🙂 I’ve visited once more since the deal, and can definitely say that it’s worth a visit even if you have to pay full price.
